Andover Museum
30 June - 18 August 2018
Group exhibition themed around the relics of prehistoric man. The Artikinesis statement describes the work in the exhibition as
"... a response to prehistoric man’s influence on today’s landscape, and a reflection on our relationship with the distant past. Mysterious stone circles, intriguing barrows, exhilarating hill forts and illuminating finds: the essence of history, of human hopes and fears over the years."My contributions were deliberately straightforward representations of features in the landscape, most of which were newly created for this project:
The Devil's Den or The Resting Place - SOLD at exhibition | Embankment (Danebury) | Sentinel (Danebury) | En-trance (Chysauster) | Avebury Evening |
(The subject matter is one of my favourites - see a selection of work here).
The five-fold graphic that represents the exhibition is made up of close-ups of each artist's work.
